We have a pretty rare car on our hands this round. Its a vintage Lotus Esprit fully restored to factory standard. It was briefed by the owner himself that it was repainted by a very skillful painter and also the colour chosen was from the Aston Martin Vanquish! This is the 4th car the owner had us worked on. Well, lets begin.
Upon arrival, the car was parked in a semi covered area, whereby tree leaves, tree sap, and bird droppings were visible.
Without wasting time, we proceed to inspecting the paint. Its was almost mint but with some coarse finishing from the painters.
Some light contamination and also haziness on the clear coat.
The paint was not at its best state but its nothing major.
Zoom in and we spotted some keep swirls on the frontal part of the car.
Some minor uneven clear coat.
a deep scratch.
Another visible deep swirled area.
From far, these swirls are not very visible, but it doesn’t mean we skip it.
We gave the car a wash, clay and immediately started on the paint correction.
So after the paint correction, we restored the colour and also removed all of the swirls.

A closer zoom in look on the paint condition.
The wheels were also repainted and it was a pain in the a** to clean. We manage to clean up all of them and got them coated.
As for the results.

We have with us the all new Peugeot 308 Turbo. Being a brand new unit, fresh from the showroom. The owner immediately scheduled an appointment with us to get it protected.
Upon arrival, the car looked clean and sleek. The contamination were hidden.
We did our standard routine inspection. It was rather dusty.
A closer look on the paint and we spotted some watermark stains.
Some tree sap stains were spotted as well.
Although the watermarks issue was not serious, but it was still quite obvious even on a silver paint.
Looking closer at the paint condition, we found that the paint had been waxed/polished.
Although the PDI for Peugeot was not that bad, there were still some flaws leftover.
There were no visible swirls on the paint but some areas were poorly finished.
Holograms or Buffing marks were spotted on some areas of the car.
On the plastic side panels, we found some visible swirls and scratches.
Check out the difference in lighting.
Water reaction on the paint tells us that the paint had been waxed but the effect was wearing off.
We started with a deep and detailed cleaning for the entire car. Areas like these are never neglected.
The plastic panel before detailing.
The same plastic panel after.
All the plastic panels were properly corrected.
We also spotted some haziness on the taillights, although not visible to the untrained eye, this is still something that we would treat before applying any protection coat.
Before.
After taillight correction.
The haziness is visibly removed and shine restored.
Although the paint had been polished, we did not hesitate to give it a finishing polish just to smooth things out.
In result, it gave an enhancement in not only the colour but also the metallic flakes.
The holograms around the car had also been corrected.
Wheels were jut slightly covered in brake dust.
It wasn’t really a big problem but its common on continental cars.
After cleaning and coating.
Checkout the gloss enhancement on even matte surface.
and finally, without any further delays, check out the caption-less only pictures, all natural lighting photographs of the after coating effects.
We have with us a Peugeot 408 Turbo, the car is currently at its first quarter. The car looked shiny as usual but then again, looks can be deceiving.
Upon arrival, we did a walk around to inspect the visible condition of the car.
There were some visible paint transfer.
Some rubber scruffs
Visible tree sap stain can be seen on the paint.
There were some random isolated deep scratches.
Swirls were quite serious on the paint work when LED light is used.
Before…
After
All panels were restored to its best state.
There were visible tar spots on the fender areas. So we dissolve it.
After around 6hours of polishing and detailing the paint work. We finally applied the coating.
Finally, the car is street worthy. Check out the insane transformation for a “Looks like Glossy Car” to “Really Glossy Car” The defination of the car’s shape is enhanced tremendously.
