What is Opti Coat-Pro and Pro Plus
Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus is a permanent coating that protects automotive paint over its lifetime! Unlike a wax or sealant, Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus will not wash or wear off. It acts as a second layer of clear coat which provides increased protection against the elements.

Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus is a clear resin coating, much like the clear coat that already exists on your vehicle. And just like your factory clear coat, Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus is meant to be permanent! Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus can be applied to all exterior surfaces. For other exterior surfaces, Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus is a highly effective, transparent protective coating. Unlike Taflon, Polymer, Glass, Diamond, Nano or other coatings, Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus is the only paint bonding coating which becomes a part of the existing clear coat. This will prevent peeling or degrading in any form.

Opti-Coat Pro Plus on the other hand is the second layer after the initial application of Opti-Coat Pro. To further enhance the thickness, strength, and durability of the original Opti-Coat Pro.

How Do we apply Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus
Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus is a permanent coating that requires the paint to be finished properly before any application is done. Any blemishes or contamination on the paint will be permanently stuck under the coating if not removed prior application. On a professionally prepared paint finish, Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus will look clear, smooth, and clean. Opti-Coat Pro Plus is applied after completing the first layer of Opti-Coat Pro.

How DoesOpti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus Protects the Factory paint?
A single layer of Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus measures approximately 2-4 microns in thickness. Compared to other “paint protection” sealants, Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus is more than 100 times thicker with tests showing a wax coating measuring less than 0.02 microns.
This allows Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus to effectively absorb damage that would otherwise affect the factory paint layers. Swirl marks, light scratches, chemical etching is not only decreased by the harder clear coating, but the factory paint is protected by the thick outer Optimum coating.

What are the effects of Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus that can be seen with the naked eye?
As Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus bonds and cures with the factory clear coat, you will be able to see a higher definition in gloss and shine. The touch felt on the surface after a fully cured Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus surface is smooth as if there is a layer of wax.

What are the benefits of applying Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus to my car?
Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus will provide the owner with a superior clear coat film that is highly resistant to chemical etching, harder than factory clear coat to reduce swirls and scratches, and a permanent hydrophobic surface that is easier to clean and stays cleaner for longer.

Can I buy Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus and apply it myself?
No. Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus is available only to selected professionals. Application requires an experienced technician to avoid extensive damage to the factory paintwork.

How long does it take to apply Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus to my car?
The application of Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus itself may take only 1-2 hours. Preparation required beforehand may take an additional 4-5 hours. Depending on the condition of the car, used cars in particular, preparation including swirl removal may take a number of hours. The main thing is the curing period of the coating takes at least 6 hours. It is recommended to not have any contact to water or any liquid based substance.

Can I apply waxes and sealants or polish and Opti-Coated car?
Yes, you can apply additional waxes/sealants to the surface although it is not required. Opti-Coat once applied, becomes a permanent part of your vehicles paint system. Applying a wax or sealant on top of the Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus is no different to applying to factory clear coats. A NON ABRASIVE polish/paint cleaner can also be used to polish the vehicle. Unlike other paint protection systems that void the warranty, polishing away any contamination will actually enhance the performance of Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus!

Will Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus work on single staged old school paint?
Yes, Opti-Coat Pro and Pro Plus will work on single stage paint

How is the durability in Malaysian weather?
I would say the durability is rather suprising for Optimum Coating. We have found that many coating cannot withstand the heat hence degrade too fast. Optimum Coating on the other hand is developed in the rather hot section of the US which captures all the main component of Malaysian weather.
