We are here today for this Mazda CX-5. Its been a year since it was last treated with any form of car care. We are expecting a little more work today to restore the car to its showroom state.
Upon arrival, we did our standard walk around the car to inspect for any obvious damages.
Overall, the car looked okay from a distance, but when we looked closer…
We spotted some quite severe damages.
similar damages were spotted on the lower portion of the car.
More visible scuff were found around the car.
Some were not as severe.
As we rinsed the car. the water just was not beading on the surface, this indicates the paint had no protection at all.
The paint was quite swirled up on multiple panels around the car.
We spent quite a little time washing the car to get it clean and we started the paint restoration.
The previous severe scuff on the fender was successfully restored.
We were able to remove all the swirls from the paint.
Restoring the paint to a swirl free state.
At the same time, restoring the paint’s glossiness.
After more than 6hours restoring the paint, the coating was finally applied. Enjoy the unedited, raw phone camera photos and photos taken in natural light.
Most so called professional centers will utilize warm lightings to enhance the gloss, but when parked under the sun after a few washes, the car is no longer that shiny.

This is an art of mother nature. The Picasso piece that nature gave FOC to our client’s car when it was parked under the tree. We have with us a brand new Toyota Vios, ready to be detailed and treated with Opti-Coat™Pro.
Upon arrival, just like any car, we did our standard walk around to spot for any visible damages.
Initial inspection showed us that the car was indeed parked under a tree.
Visible bird dropping was spotted.
As we were walking to the back, we the sudden artistic side of us came alive as we spotted this nice painting.
Art come in many forms, in this case, it was in nature’s form.
As we complete our round check, we could not proceed with the paint inspected as the car was too dirty.
Hence, we proceed to washing the car first then inspecting the paint further. This is a bird dropping etching on the paint.
The paint on the other hand had next to no damage on it, but it just looked dull.
After much inspecting, we decided that the paint requires a good old fashioned polishing just to bring back the shine.
Now for the paint correction, we first worked on the bird dropping etching.
After much intense polishing, we got the stained spoiler to its original state.
While we were polishing the other sections of the car, a old stain mark was spotted as well.
The paint is visibly whiter and the stain is removed. No editing at all to the photo.
Finally, the paint was entirely polishing and the shine was back!
Comparing to the initial impression of the car, it now looks much cleaner, much glossier and much smoother. Its now ready to be treated with the coating.
Wheels were not in a bad shape, hence there was not much detailing that can be done.
After some cleaning up, we coated the wheels and got it protected.
The glass water pretty much stained with watermarks.
After the watermark removal treatment. The glass is restored to its supposed state.
Finally, after intense paint correction, stain removals, bird dropping etching restoration, we got the Opti-Coat™Pro applied. Check out the wet look on white.
Photo speaks for itself. We have the key, the car, full access to ourselves. We got an inquiry from this client a few weeks ago, upon reviewing our portfolio, he decided to go ahead with our services. This Mazda CX-5 was the first car he ever entrusted to us. Being strangers, we had never met before till today. He passed us the key at his office, asked us to get his car madly glossy and parked it back at his spot. That was exactly what we did.
Upon driving back to our private quarters, we parked the car and let the engine cool down.
We did our standard walk around and took some shots.
The paint was rather dirty for a week old car but then again, its the haze season.
When we say haze, we really mean haze. The windows were covered in so much dust and ashes, we could write on it.
We continue to inspect the paint up close.
Watermarks were visible on the paint.
Being a AWD, this looks like it is really being driven.
We have mud splatter everywhere on the sides.
The plastics were covered in these rally style splatter.
Overall, the car was in a dirty and stained state.
As we mention all the time, we do not neglect these areas as well.
The trim’s edges on the front windscreen were collecting dirt.
Being a JDM unit, sunroofs are usually full of watermarks as well.
Coming to the paint condition, we found a spot that was severely damaged.
First, we did some general cleaning, which includes cleaning areas like this too.
The paint was in quite a decent condition but we still did a light pass on the polisher.
Giving the paint a smooth and leveled finish.
Well prepared paint surface is a must for long lasting coating effects.
Remember the severely damaged area? This is before.
After paint correction. Finally the car is worthy to be coated.
The wheels are usually dirty from daily commute.
Up close we can see the comparison
Upon completing, we coated the wheels and gave the tyres some “Bling”
When we detail wheels, lug nut areas are not missed.
For the interior, its clean due to its age, but its rather dry to the touch. Hence, we did some minor cleaning.
Upon completing of cleaning and drying the leather, we applied a high quality Leather Conditioning, gave it a slightly darker tone, matte finish and soft to touch.
After some hours of correcting damaged areas, we finally applied the coating. Check out the glossy and wet finishing.
