We have here with us a brand new Toyota Vios today. From our experience of working on countless Toyota(s), we always had the impression that Toyota had the best factory paint job. Likewise to the car we have with us today.

Upon arrival, we did a walk around the car to inspect for any obvious damages.
2015-05-31 10.54.06
We spot some dirt and road grime from daily use.
2015-05-31 11.00.30
Watermarks were visible on the glass
2015-05-31 11.00.36
Some bugs or droppings from were found on the paint as well
2015-05-31 11.00.43
Overall, we found no visible swirl or paint damage on the paint. Being so, we had extra time on our hands and we decided to pop the hood. Our first impression, why is the engine so dusty!
2015-05-31 11.26.52
As we looked up, why is the underneath of the hood also so dirty!
2015-05-31 11.26.47
As we looked closer, we spot more and more contamination.
2015-05-31 11.26.58
The engine cover was filthy!
2015-05-31 11.27.03
Other covers had a thick layer of dust as well.
2015-05-31 11.27.15
The dust was thick enough for a smiley face.

We got the engine to a tip top state, as if how it should look like for a brand new car.
2015-05-31 11.44.24
The underneath of the hood is spanking clean now.
2015-05-31 11.44.29
Engine covers and other covers were restored to its factory look.

As as result, we did some interior cleaning, engine cleaning but no paint correction as the paint was in tip top condition.

Today, we would like to share with you this very special detailing session we did for this Perodua Kenari. We want to show you that it doesn’t matter what you drive, how expensive is the car, how high-end is the car, at the end of the day, protection is a must and when there is less to no protection over the past 10 years, this is what you get.
exterior_header
Upon arrival, we can clearly see that the car, although more than 10 years old, still looks spanking new and shiny.
IMG_2828
Since it was raining, we took initiative of the situation to show you the protection level. The water beadings on the paint clearly indicates that there is no wax or any sealant on the paint.
IMG_2829
The car may be more than 10 year old, still looks shiny, but after some inspection, we concluded that in the life time of this car, there were some slight accidents, some repaints, and some polishing done over the years.
IMG_2839
With a DSLR, we snap high quality photos, again clearly indication the swirl and scratch level on the paint.
IMG_2845
Some areas were severely oxidized. Added on PU/ABS/FRP body parts tend to oxidize quicker than the metal parts.
IMG_2872
Most detailers will not take not of the taillights, we do.
IMG_2860

The standard paint cleaning was done. From washing, degreasing, claying, stain removals,  and watermark removals. We were able to get the car to a much better condition. We begin the paint correction with the Rupes BigFoot system with the combination of 3M Menzerna polishes.
With the use of this system and polish, This is the before.
IMG_2839
This is the after.
IMG_2842
On another area, the same paint condition prior correction.
IMG_2845
The paint condition after correction. You may notice on the bottom left of the light, there are still some light swirls, this is common as detailing is not a magic trick, there are risks at paint correction and sometimes not every surface can be fully restored to flawless state.
IMG_2846
As we mentioned, we take note on the taillights as well. Before any correction, the taillights are visibly dull and oxidized, resulting in a unattractive outlook.
IMG_2860
After the correction was done, there taillights now look much better. Again, due to the severity and age of the swirls, the taillights were unable to be restored to a 100% state.
IMG_2861
Detailing, its all about the details, this is an exhaust tip, not even a real part of the exhaust. It is merely an add-on attachment to the exhaust muffler. This is Before.
IMG_2875
We polished the exhaust tip with Mother’s Mag and Aluminum polish to add that little bling to the finishing.
IMG_2876
wheels_header
The wheels were in very good condition, besides the standard brake dust, there were less to no stains spotted.
IMG_2833
Since only the front wheel is equipped with a disc rotor, brake dust build up is only visible in the front.
IMG_2834
This is the wheel before cleaning.
IMG_2835
During cleaing.
IMG_2836
After cleaning.

This may not be the most interesting post, may not be the most executive car we post, but the true agenda we want to share is, regardless what car you drive, regardless the price tag, your car, we truly believe that as long you have the heart to protect, to care, you will have the time and effort to spend on some form of protection for your ride. PS: pardon the slight out of focus photos.

Just like any brand new car, this Ford Kuga is no exception. We always tell our clients that even though your car is brand new and a few days old, it does not mean that the production date was a few days old. Most cars are stored in open air warehouses till the batch is complete. Prior completion of the batch, the car might have been left outdoors for a extensive time, hence the elements will be damaging the paint.

Upon arrival, we started to inspect the car, with limited time and a huge surface area to work on, we started immediately.
2014-06-01 11.11.42
The paint is swirled up.
2014-06-01 15.50.30
Holograms are also visible.
2014-06-01 15.50.44
We assume that the car had to have some serious stains as the entire car had been polished.
2014-06-01 15.50.51
Due to the lack of experience with a rotary buffer, the person that polished the car left us tonnes of paint correction to do.
2014-06-01 15.51.15
The wheels looked like they had some very greasy tyre shine on it.
2014-06-01 11.11.26
A closer look and the thickness of the brake dust is just speechless.
2014-06-01 11.11.32
correction_header
Wasting no further time, we started with the standard deep clean, scrubbing the low quality tyre shine off.
2014-06-01 11.26.42
Although the paint had been polished, it was not detailed, hence most trim and edges of the car is stain covered.
2014-06-01 13.23.53
We also clayed the car as we found the paint to be very rough. Claying will smoothen the paint and also show us how dirty it is.
2014-06-01 13.52.11
After much intense cleaning and stain removed, we polished the paint. Here is the after.
2014-06-01 17.14.08
Immediately, the shine was restored and gloss enhanced, this time, the owner came by and was just blown away.
2014-06-01 17.14.21

After around more than 8hours of paint correction, we applied Opti-Coat Pro for the final protection. Check out the results. White, can have the wet glossy look too.
