We have a rather special ride here with us today, previously coated with Opti-Coat Pro by a self proclaimed “master detailer”. As we inspected the car we found out what was the “quality” of the job. The owner contacted us as he had noticed the car looks rather dull and scratched up, so we showed up on our appointment date and started to work on it. Read on to find out what we found.

Upon arrival, we did our routine walk around and found that the paint was not in the worst shape. Swirls were noticeable.

Some areas are covered in watermarks.

Some areas had watermarks and some rather deep scratches.

As the car was detailed by a “master” detailer, we wouldn’t have expect holograms to be found, but here you go, hologram damage.

But you can actually see that Opti-Coat Pro had protected the car some rather severe swirl issues, even for a 4 years coated car, the swirl level was not severe.
We first started with a detailed wash and during claying, the paint was rather dirty.

After some paint correction, the paint was back to a tip top condition.

For this session, the client decided to go for our exclusive High Gloss Coat, which gives a extreme reflection and gloss for a budget rate. Not stressful on the wallet but yet still give your pride and joy the gloss it deserves.

Yet another JDM legend came in to us for some detailing and paint restoration. We had already known the car for quite a while and understand that there was a paint job involved. But due to the quality of the paint job, the rare clean finish was already done on the body. After driving many miles and going through many washes, its finally time for the annual restoration to keep the car always looking spanking new.

The car had been at our place for the entire night as the owner of this sweet ride had gone to work. In the morning, we started our work.

We diagnose the paint surface for obvious contamination. Here you can see the watermark stains.

Some light swirls were found on the bonnet.

On the boot, we also found some light swirls.

Black had always been a challenge to fix, here you see some swirls and water on the rear spoiler.

Even more visible swirls damages on the rear spoiler.

Our initial spotted revealed some very minor, next to unnoticeable oxidation on the headlights, so we did the essential steps to remove the oxidation.
Check out the Before.

After. Some very minor gloss differences.

After paint restoration. Swirls no longer visible.

Same panels that we showed you the watermark stains. No more stains.

We did some minor detailing on the steering wheel since we had some free time and also because the wheel is filthy! (on the left: undetailed; on the right: cleaned.)

Dirty oil stains had edged into the texture of the metal.

After detailing.

On the right side of the steering wheel. Similar results.

Momo wording clear and clean!

As a result of a close to 10 hours detailing session and paint restoration. We present to you the finishing outcome. Check it out.

To some the Mitsubishi Lancer is just an A to B commute vehicle, but to some its their first ride, pride and joy! The owner of this ride just got the car repainted not long ago but was not very satisfied with the paint finishing from the paint shop. The typical practice from paint shops will end up with alot of swirls from their G6 heavy cutting compound.

The swirls condition on the paint is like this.

It does look pretty severe and even more horrible looking in real life

And this is just the front hood.

More swirls.

There was an unknown stain here that we spotted. Could not be washed off.

The texture on the paint was a little off as well which resulted in a blurry reflection.

We first start with a detailed wash.

We first tackled the most common problem on white cars. Tar spots.

You can really see the tar dissolving off.

After a quick polish you can obviously see the difference in colour. (left is untouched)

The stain had been removed.

The swirls fully restored.

LED reveals better and still, no swirls spotted.

After multiple checking on the final results on the paint correction, we applied a generous layer of Swissvax.

Because the owner gave us plenty of time to work on the car, we actually took about 20hours on this polishing job. The results are astonishing as usual and the owner was more than satisfied with the results. Check out the glossy finish.
