We have with us a Peugeot 408 Turbo, the car is currently at its first quarter. The car looked shiny as usual but then again, looks can be deceiving.

Upon arrival, we did a walk around to inspect the visible condition of the car.

There were some visible paint transfer.

Some rubber scruffs

Visible tree sap stain can be seen on the paint.

There were some random isolated deep scratches.

Swirls were quite serious on the paint work when LED light is used.

Before…

After

All panels were restored to its best state.

There were visible tar spots on the fender areas. So we dissolve it.

After around 6hours of polishing and detailing the paint work. We finally applied the coating.

Finally, the car is street worthy. Check out the insane transformation for a “Looks like Glossy Car” to “Really Glossy Car” The defination of the car’s shape is enhanced tremendously.

We are all the way in a rural village to get this Nissan Xtrail corrected and Opti-Coated. The car is brand new, barely reaching 3 days old. Due to its area of activity, its constantly exposed to mud, rain, bad road conditions, etc.

Upon arrival, we saw the car in a rather poor lighting condition. Making the car glossy as ever.

As we our eyes got closer to the car. There you can spot the amount of dirt.

On the glass, its a mixture mud, rain and sand.

We got our LED out and check the paint. Swirls were visible on the paint even though its white.

We washed the car and found that the paint had 0 protection.

On the glass, the water doesn’t flow off at all.

After finishing with the cleaning, we moved on to the correction stage. Here is step 1. Still some minor not so visible swirl.

Final step fully removed the swirl. Due to the age of the car, the damages are on a few areas only, hence we did spot repairs.

Finally, after about 5hours, we finally got to the coating stage, here are the results of the coat.

Recon cars are very common in Malaysia. Mostly imported from Japan, these cars are shipped in, reconditioned, and sold as if new. Here we have with us an Audi A5 sportback. Being in black, we had already assumed the condition to be bad. Read on to know more.

From the looks of the car, it seem to be shine and glossy. With only 50k clocked mileage, we can only say, looks can be deceiving.

The sun was out, we just had to take some sun shots with the damages.

It is a very common view being a reconditioned unit, most car dealers will send the car for either a fresh coat of paint or a cheap polish.

In this case, we can definitely see some neglect.

Swirl levels were not high, but sufficient to affect the shine a little.

Some panels had more damage, some had less. So we now can confirm the car dealer did not do anything to the car.

It may not be as bad as its looks, but flies died from the shitty paint condition too.

As usual, we gave the car a good deep clean. All neglected areas were taken care of.

Paint was restored to the default condition.

There were no longer any visible swirls or scratches.

As for the finishing, we cleaned up all trim, edges, and removed all polishing residue.

The wheels on this ride was modified to a matte black/alloy finish. The brake dust however, is still caked up.
A closer look on the wheel and it filthy!

Wheels barrels were cleaned.

You can actually see the brake dust dissolving with the alkaline cleaner.

and finally, After all the cleaning.

Wheel barrels are proper now.

Reach for the skies! Check out the insane reflections.

And finally the coated car.
