We have here a BMW F30. The owner traveled 200KM to us just to have us detail and coat his car. It is about 2 weeks from the showrooms, specifically instructed by the owner to the dealership not to wash, wax or polish his car. Most dealerships will be shocked when the owner says that!

From initial looks of the car, it is clean and looks relatively new.

A closer look and you start to see dust, stains, road grime. Extremely visible on white.

Areas like this are normally neglected and will start to collect alot of dirt.

some tar spot prone areas are covered is splatters of road grime.

We also found more tar spots on the hood and side fender. Possibly the owner drove on a road that was in a paving process.

More tar spots found on the car

Surface condition wise, the car is in a good shape, since it had never been washed and wax and polished.

We inspected the entire car to find not even a single fine line of damage.

We clean the leather interior and topped it up with a leather protectant which is not greasy and gives a soft touch to it.

The wheels were in a black tone before we washed them.

It is a normal situation as BMW is very concern on the driving safety hence more braking and more brake dust.

After the rims bring cleaned and treated with Opti™Coat Pro.

We cleaned the car and prepared it for the coating since there was no correction required.

Tar spots we all removed and the dirt all cleaned. The car looks squeeky clean.

As for the results, enjoy.

We have here with us a pair of severely oxidized headlights. It has been left outdoors for more than a year, exposing to rain, sun, and UV damages all year round. In result we have a fully hazed, blurry, rough surfaced headlights. The owner contacted us asking if we would be able to restore it. We took the headlights and started working on them for 2 days.
Here is severe condition of the headlight.

A closer look on the oxidation. Under certain angles it will show a fully yellowish headlight

Of course, we cleaned the headlight before we started the sanding process. For the sanding, we wanted to have a smooth finish and yet easy to remove the sanding marks. We started with 1800 grid and moved to 2000 grid then finally to 3000 grid. This process allows us to have a smoother finish but takes a very slow process.
Below is the headlight after completely removing all oxidation, so we tested by running the polisher over to see whats underneath.

To our surprise the headlight turned out very nice, As if it was new! All the pictures are not edited for lighting whatsoever.

Once there was a scuff here, but we were able to sand it down to a almost invincible finish, being a 1994 pair of headlights, there is bound to be some irreversible damages.

Only a small scuff and a small chip on both headlights.

After completing the sanding, polishing we wipedown the both headlights with alcohol and coated the both headlights with Opti™Lens Professional to keep the headlights as good as new.

We also inspected the headlights under the sun as if we were inspecting a car’s paint to make sure there were no swirls on the plastic remain before we coated them.

On the third day, we did some water test on the lens and it turned out all nice and hydrophobic after the coating had fully cured.

Thanks for reading this short post.
We will be show casing this 3 months old Nissan Teana. Although it is not a special car but you would be shocked to find out that this is actually a 3 months old but yet looked like a year old car. Owned by a very well known fashion designer in Malaysia, she called us to save her ride from rotting to the ground.

From a distance the car looks like is in a good state but lacking some waxing. We looked closer to find more shocking events.

Notice a light circle around the light, the car was covered in fine scratches like this.

The surface was almost not hydrophobic at all. Being a 3 months old car, we expected the car to have a sleek and clean surface but we were wrong.

Bird dropping stain spotted on the front bonnet.

We also spotted heavy watermark issues on the paint.

A closer look onto the swirls and scratches.

We also found that the car had been sent to a low quality poor workmanship polish which left us with alot of hologram or also know as buffing marks.

We concluded that this car is not in a very good shape for a 3 months old car. We started our restoration process. The car was first clean with a extensive wash then moved back to the parking bay which is where we will be spending the rest of the day restoring the paint.

We also spent some time on the engine bay getting it all shiny and clean.

Swirls were correction after a extensive 4hr compound and polishing.

From another panel.

Completing the entire car swirls free.

We removed the watermark stains on the paint, here is a side by side comparison on the same panel and same camera angle.

From another panel we inspect to see if we missed anything. The car is paint ready for Optimum Coating.

As usual, we will leave the results un-captioned for purely a enjoyable view.
