Not our daily usual SUV but this beast is one of a kind in paint damages. We have with us a 1 week old Mazda CX-9. The owner had setup an appointment with us prior the collection of the car and had left it in shades till we arrived to get it coated. It is a very huge, with lots of big panels and a very tall car to begin with.
To Begin, we took a quick walk around the car and took some front and back shots of the Upon Arrival look.
It may be new, but it didn’t look much appealing and “new”
This is the type of car which is used at trunk roads, the bug killer.
With barely 100KM on the ODO, it had already murdered more than enough bugs with just 1 drive to porch for us to work on.
As we look closer on the sand and dust, its amazing that 1 short 30KM drive could collect this much dust.
Its basically everywhere, even at small tight edges like this.
Trunk roads are constantly abused by heavy vehicles and the roads are frequently paved, when that happens, tar spots become 1 major problem for cars.
Prior the collection, it seemed so be that the Mazda dealership had already either waxed or polished the car.
There were so much sand even the behind the fuel door was covered with a nice coat of sand and dust.
Moving on to the paint inspection, we really did expect the paint to be not in a very good shape.
There were swirls all over the car. We also spotted some holograms which confirms the polishing that the dealership had done.
Swirls were mostly minimal and just light ones.
We also found some deeper scratch on 1 particular panel on the car.
For the correction process and cleaning process, we first started with a detailed and deep cleaning for the car. And when we say deep cleaning, we do mean deep cleaning. Areas like this were washed thoroughly
Rinsing off the soap suds, we can see that the paint had clean with the minimum water beading on the surface.
Although it does bead water, it doesn’t mean it had a full coverage for the paint, it is simply telling you that the paint is clean and is ready for further protection
Prior to further protection, we had to first correct the swirls and holograms.
We performed a full correction on the entire car and here are the results of the swirls and hologram removal. So now, it is ready for further protection to be done.
For the wheels, we did some deep cleaning as well. Here are the befores.
Wheel barrel may be new, but it is covered in a coat of brake dust which our OCD kicks in.
Edges of the rim are very prone to brake dust collection.
After cleaning the wheel and drying it, it looked more appealing.
As we mentioned before, our OCD kicked in and we clean the wheel barrel to be as clean as the car itself.
Finally, we got the rim coated.
As a rresult of a full day of non-stop detailing, correcting the paint and also preparing the surface for a good layer of Opti-Guard AKA Opti-Coat Pro. We present to you, one of the glossiest CX-9 in Malaysia.
We have here a 2 year old Nissan Teana, looks may be deceiving at first but when we explore closer, the damages found were rather severe. The owner briefed us about the usage of his car and the care he had taken on the car. Apparently, the car was only used as a point A to B vehicle to work. The car is always parked under a fully shaded area and the exposure to UV is minimum. That explains the glossy and shiny finish.
From the looks of the car, it had a good definition in gloss and reflection.
A closer look and we found the usual dirt and sand on the car.
On the roof, we found some light watermark stains.
Some usual road grime on the rear end of the car.
We went on to check the paint condition. The typical condition after 2 years of improper washing.
There were some severe and obvious scratches too
On the other panels, there were a consistent swirl damage
The owner then briefed us that there were some feline friends that always liked to climb on his car which also causes some damages

We started by giving the car a good a deep wash that it had lacked for the past 2 year. Removed some tar stains and some tough rain marks on the drainage area. Then followed on to the paint correction. Here we can see the front right fender prior correction.

We gave the car another wash with a mixture of wax and grease remover to stripped the polishing oil.
Finally, we did a alcohol wipe down to totally remove all polishing oil, This is the water beading of a clean surface before coating.
We gave the wheel some attention although its not a branded or expensive wheel. It looked faded, without shine, without gloss, with no attraction at all.
After we cleaned the wheel, dried the wheel, we gave it a new layer of Opti-Guard.

Finally after 10 long hours, we completed the entire coating procedure. As usual we will not caption the beautiful and glossy final shots for your viewing pleasure.
We have here with us a 1 month old Audi A6 Hybrid, it was abit late for a coating protection as there might be paint damage that is permanently done. Lucky for the owner, we had it all covered.
Upon arrival, we had a round inspection on the paintwork, condition of the car, dirt level, and also paint surface condition.
Initial viewing was that the car is daily driven to work and because the owner feared damaging the paint during the uncoated period, he did not wash the car at all!
Because of that decision to not wash the car, rain water was left to dry naturally and formed some severe watermark issues.

Some areas were so severe that the mineral deposit can visibly be seen.
Not wasting time, we proceed to giving the car a deep and detailed wash. Here was the outcome from a 3hour wash and clean.
We proceeded with the watermark removal which took us another 3hours of polishing and paint cleaning.
The results were pretty good giving the fact that the car had not been washed and only covered in watermarks
We gave the entire car a full surface paint cleaning. With the help of a camera flash, you may visibly see the flawless condition of the paint.
Moving on to the wheels, as we mentioned earlier on the top, it had not been washed for over a month.
We cleaned the wheel face and the wheel barrel then topped it up with Opti-Guard to give it the long lasting shine and protection.
