>My dad’s friend who owns this Cefiro has been looking for someone to fix his so called “scratches” around his car. For me, i see swirls, RIDs, and alot of abuse…
So as for today ive only slept 6 hours since my last detail. abit worn out abit tired, i had to push my passion to the limit and give this babe a big big smile to her owner!
Passion Rules!
Before i start the prescription..some teasers =p
Wiped the engine with ONR
Should a 3.0 V6 be left like this….. =/
Todays prescription for this sexy looking babe
ONR No Rinse Wash
Optimum (OPT) Hyper Compound
OPT Hyper Polish
OPT Quick Wax
OPT Power Clean
Meg’s Detailing Claybar
Meg’s Ultimate Quick Detailer
Tools:
Makita 9227c polisher
Makita stock Wool pad
Lake Country Cutting pad
Lake Country Polishing pad
some brushes and sandpapers up to 2000grid
Started with some standard inspections around the car doors, roof, hood, boot and found tonnes of damages to be fixed. without hesitation. i wash it with my favorite potion ONR No Rinse wash!
just with ONR, look at the reflection!

After that clayed down with 1:8 ONR as lube
look at what ive picked up just from quarter of the roof! ewwww
Proceed to doing test spots…i ran out of masking tape…had to use cello tape as an alternative @@
tape up and did a test spot with Opt hyper compound and wool pad… 50/50 looks something like this
Compounded part
Not compounded part
Before…
Following with LC Yellow cutting pad results are quite good…
After testing to determine how could i solve the scratches i decided that some minor wet sanding was requires. i used 1000 grid wet sanded the scratches parts then moving to 1500 then to 2000 till even, after that i did a few passes on wool pad and 1 more pass on cutting pad. No more RIDs

Even my Golden Retriever shares at the gloss
After that i move to the side wheel arcs and doors till complete
After that i had a short break for lunch and my brother wanted to offer some help.
He then invented some amazing tools for Rim cleaning
hahaha epicness!
“Extended” Brush
Water “Jet”
In return he opted that i detail his blackberry lulz~ of all the other things he could wan so i just did it anyway…
Light pass with compounded wool pad, move to a more harder pass on cutting pad, then speed 1 to 2 to 1 on hyper polish sprayed some wax and applied Meg’s UQD
tadaaaa a well protected backpanel with extreme deep gloss
Even my Golden Retriever was emo as i didnt have time to play with her @@
After lunch i moved on the the roof and boot area…
Roof Area Compounded
This part is the most not safisfied part of all as i couldnt do anything to it. it was “touched up” with a chinese calligraphy brush =.=! notice the whitish spots
After Completely Compounding the car, i moved on to polishing Speed 1 spread, speed 2 to work the product and then to buff off. Then, Waxed and sprayed some Meg’s UQD for hydrophobic effect ^^
Reflection Shots of overall job =) My fav part of every detail
Paw Sun Shots at the roof
Remember the oxidized headlights… cleared!
Deep black gloss *bling bling*
Which is which? which is the real one =p

>Today a customer booked me for a detailing session to correct his severed 5 year old Naza Citra.
I went to meet him at a caltex petrol station then after that I follow his car to his house that he provided shelter for me to detail up his ride…
I arrived at 8.30 then i started to inspect his ride for correction, scratches, isolated deep scratches. swirls etc etc paint damages on black cars.
After inspecting the paint i started the session 😛
Todays Prescription of “medication” by “Doctor Paint Restoration”
ONR No Rinse Wash
Optimum (OPT) Hyper Compound
OPT Hyper Polish
OPT Quick Wax
OPT Power Clean
Meg’s Detailing Claybar
Meg’s Ultimate Quick Detailer
Tools:
Makita 9227c polisher
Makita stock Wool pad
Lake Country Cutting pad
Lake Country Polishing pad
some brushes and sandpapers
After some inspection i found out that the damages was quite severe and alot of the scratch were “uncurable” as it was too deep of a scratch. most of them could already see the metal.. 😯
some shots before i begin..
Bicycle “scrape”
5 years of open and close door handle
unknown scratch
Another battle scar vs bicycle
Rim scrape
more and more scratches found
Bike vs car who wins?
Bike =(
front bonnet
deep deep scratches
dont want to concentrate too much on the damage later everyone cry lol
I started with and ONR Wash followed by claying the entire car… took me 3 hours here at least…
Here is a shot of the contaminents i picked up just at the window panel!!
After clay i did a test area 50/50 with wool pad and hyper compound and the result was not very satisfying as it didnt cut away alot of the scratches, but the swirls was gone..
Compounded looked like this…
not compounded
then i was furious! so i did something that not all detailers encourage…
yes…wet sanding….
i sanded for almost 1 hour at the hood till it was all evenly sanded
then did a 50/50 comparison with compound again…
result blew my mind away..sorry for the dirty part =p
with proper lighting…
under reflection…

i haz a happy and proud of my risk…
then it was noon and i had to eat as ive used alot of energy in sanding… before i left for lunch i did a small experiment with the owner himself…
heard of the soft skin of a baby? silky smooth? how about when water hits the surface?
POOF!

Enjoy…..
Enjoyed pan mee for lunch with my lovely gf then went back to serious mode…
i covered all the doors, roof, back, bumpers, side skirts (AKA Other parts of the car
) in around 4 hours…here are some of the results…
This is not a chrome badge, instead its a soft soft sponge type badge which the clear layer is worn out, i powered cleaned it and polished it up
tadaaa..

car roof reflection…my spotlight couldn’t reach for proper shot…i might need to get 8 more hands =p
